The 36th Circuit Court takes civil cases over $25,000, as required by MCL 600.8301. Contract disputes, personal injury suits, and property claims above the district court limit all go to the circuit court. The court serves Van Buren County exclusively.
The 7th District Court handles civil matters up to $25,000 and small claims to $6,500. It has two locations. The main office in Paw Paw can be reached at (269) 657-8222.
